Interpretation Room, “Castles and Walls in the West of Castile and Leon”
The castle houses on the last floor, an interpretation room about the medieval fortifications on the old border between the kingdoms of Leon and Castile.
Castile and Leon is a land of Castles, especially the western part of the region, where there used to be three borders during many centuries; the border which was created under the Andalusi power; another one created when Portugal was born and the third one, the border which divided the old kingdoms of Leon and Castile.
The visitors will find some interesting information about the medieval castles through some informative panels and audiovisual resources.
The room is located in a beautiful circular-planned place, from where we can get to the tower balcony in order to enjoy some impressive views of the villa, the Tormes and its region.
