The farinato is one of the products you can try if you travel to the region of Ciudad Rodrigo.
It is made with bread crumbs, pork fat, paprika, spirits and dry anise. It is also the ingredients of many meals, such as “fried eggs with farinato”, very frequently eaten in the Carnival festival
Although its origins are humble, nowadays its ingredients and elaboration have been adapted to the current taste. That is why this product is very frequently used in the new cuisine, adding its own personality.
At the same time, its special flavour has earned it the recognition as Certification Mark.
