Siega Verde
The archaeological site of Siega Verde is located in the west of Salamanca, in the region of Ciudad Rodrigo. This is the most important open air Paleolithic Art site in Castile and Leon and the most significant one in Spain. That is why it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage.

Canyons and dams
In the north-west corner, the river Duero and its tributaries have carved an amazing chain of canyons, over which some spectacular dams and hydroelectric dams have been built.

Pozo de los Humos
When the rainy season comes, it is essential to visit the Pozo de los Humos. This waterfall is located between the villages of Pereña de la Ribera and Masueco.

Ciudad Rodrigo Cathedral
This is undoubtedly the most important monument in the city. King Fernando II de Leon promoted the construction of this building at the end of the 12th century, although the building works took place along six centuries and this brought many changes and influences as a result.

Wine Sierra de Salamanca
The designation of origin “Sierra de Salamanca” is located in the south-east of the province, with a production surface of about 500 km2. This is the last Protected Designation of Origin registered in Spain and one of the smallest ones.
